Laurence--Trials
I know people cut the nobbles of their tyres to loose weight and gain grip i'm mainly thinking about the gaining grip in this case but i've got a maxxis swampthing tyre should i cut off nobbles and if so which ones? Excuse the bad picture Edited March 11, 2012 by Laurence--Trials
Martin Reynolds
Personally i'd cut off the far outside ones, they get the less use. I guess it depends if you ride street or natural. You use alot more of the tire riding natural due to the surfaces you ride on.
Laurence--Trials
Just noticed they go in a zigzag typed thing so you dont get small nobble big nobble etc. Dont know if this picture helps.
Carlperkins
wouldnt bother, youll end up with a zig-zag nobble pattern and itll look shite.
Alex Dark
Nah, theyve got few enough knobbles as it is. I'd leave it be.

Carlperkins
drill the side walls, will make it well lighter and looking buffting Can you actually do this? I thought about it but never did it. You got any pics of your tyre if you done it?
dirty-boi
Can you actually do this? I thought about it but never did it. N.Wood
Can you actually do this? I thought about it but never did it. You got any pics of your tyre if you done it? Serious? No don't drill your sidewalls, jesus. And I wouldn't bother with the swapthing, the knobs are too far apart to make it worthwhile, you'd probably end up with less grip as it'd be a mile before the next knobble 'engaged'
