Little Yoshi
My mate has just got himself a bike and hit has cable disk and a vee on it. Now I have never worked with any of these so can someone tell me how to set them up right? The pad is rubbing on the disk for the front. How do I fix this? Tried adgesting the cable on it but then the lever comes to far in. Also the left hand arm of the vee(as your standing on the bike) is rubbing. Can someone help me with that? Matt Vandart
turn the screw on the ve arm clockwise a bit.
trialsbeginner
on the disc caliper loosen the bit where the cable pulls keep the bit it pulls still and pull the cable as tight as possible and then he should have a tight feeling lever and hopefully it shouldnt rub but if it does loosen on the bit that moves just a tiny bit
murph82
if I've understood it sounds like the Caliper is out of alignment? If it's the inboard pad that's rubbing get some spacers between the is mounts to move it over so the rotor is in the middle of the pads. It's unlikely you'll get the brake set how you want by setting up the lever so it doesn't rub! What model disc brake is it?
