SamKidney
On a tight as foook budget on getting my bike complete, and I was just wondering what could be used. Would electricians tape do the trick?. One layer sticky side up (tube side) then another on that sticky side down (both sticky surfaces together) to ensure the tube wont stick? Im going to be running single wall zhi rims, and the cutouts are quite large. Edited March 6, 2012 by Echo Lite
dann2707
Mines currently got electrical tape on the front, and it's fine. I also went through a pikey stage and used carrier bags haha

Laurence--Trials
Selotape.. Ribbon(what I use) there's so many things you can use, just use your noggin, most things will work.
Mark W
If you know anyone who uses the wider, packing-style sellotape that's pretty much ideal if you double it over onto itself to get rid of the sticky side. It's the right width for rims and just works really well. Lightest option too

Sam T
I used to run no rimtape in my front single wall rim and it lasted fine I used to have rimtape that was just Celebration wrappers stuck to tape. Looked awesome
Carlperkins
A strip cut out the back of an old t-shirt? Then celotape to hold it in place. That way you can get colours too .

The Mechanic
No they still are about and used, a puncture in a tubeless that cant be vulcanized can still be used with a tube and I don't mean a great big hole.
