KIcarus
Hey people! Bit of a noob post, but i've decided to change the stem on my stock, from the one it came with, the stem that came as standard is roughly 90mm, but with no rise. And was thinking of getting a new one, to possibly aid my riding. I was wondering what length or degree of rise is best for a 26"? I know it's down to personal preference at the end of the day, but was just interested to see what others used, and found best for riding. Thanks. Rob. isitafox
What bike is it going on? It is down to personal preference but the geometry of the bike is also pretty important in stem choice.
KIcarus
It's going on a Voodoo Shango. I figured the bike was good to start on with it being cheap, and knew within a month, would probably look like i beat it to death with a hammer. But if i can upgrade parts in the process, it would be good!
isitafox
What style of riding are you into? I personally can't think of a recommendation for a stem on that frame as it isn't really a trials bike, you don't really want anything with much rise as the BB is so low.
