Daniel Gray
They are coming for us! Oh my god! You alone know the truth Gray. Only you can save us all now.... Go on... Go on without me, you are the chosen one. Take the one true ring, throw it into the fires at Mount Facebook. I do believe that, but I also know that sweatshops generally pay good wages compared to most other employment opportunities in those areas. I believe in exploiting other peoples exploits while I can. If I don't buy Nike's it's very unlikely they'll go out of business, so I might as well keep buying them. But I assume your delusions of grandeur make you think that as a 1 in 7,000,000,000 (is there 3 more 0's or is that it?) statistic your opinion or actions matter to this planet? No, but i'm not trying to change the world, just trying to do my part. This conversation is going to turn into another negative battle. I give you props for your opinions i guess i should not have posted the silly comment in the first place. was an immature statement. I guess i'm Just a very aware person. The reason i'm a filmmaker for a living, and the reason why i ride trials just like you, i see things differently. anyways back on topic... Oh Trials forum i have missed you aha. MonsieurMonkey
I have nothing against what you think or your opinions, it's just the usual, no facts or reasons, and if people don't agree their immature/naive/childish. I'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories, but the fact there's one about Facebook doesn't surprise me. Feel free to write a reason filled response and prove us all wrong, but remember, most of us older cynical wankers are gonna want to rip you apart rapid
JDâ„¢
I guess i'm Just a very aware person. whoa whoa whoa. Strike my last comment. Are you aware that in the UK alone, 30million people are using Facebook, and in many cases they are very aware of the fact that they are improving their lives with it? Whether that be by keeping in touch with some they might now otherwise, finding interesting stuff they might not otherwise have found, making money, increasing their profile (as film makers or otherwise), even just whiling away time they might otherwise spend depressing themselves thinking of Nike labour camps... Dismissing something is all well and good, you've got your reasons. But to say that makes you more aware than others is retarded. Especially when I'm sure I could find some more successful (either through money or respect among peers) film makers out there on Facebook. I'm sure they're aware of how real their life is too. Maybe you're just not aware that communication evolves, from grunts to word of mouth to phones to emails to social networks. Faster communication means faster everything, even if some gets diluted by crap.

I am completely aware and agree 100% on everything you said above. I also deleted my twitter at the same time. Social networking has its pros and cons yes. JDâ„¢
You think differently, just like everyone else I personally believe the pros far outweigh the cons, but I'm biased. Totally respect your choice, and fair one if I took your awareness point wrong. I do take offence if you meant it the way it still sounds second time round - that you're more aware than 30million people, a large amount of which are very aware. Edit: and one of which is my very aware self. Edited February 29, 2012 by JDâ„¢

MadManMike
Daniel. Seriously, you don't want to use it - that's fine. But don't slate people that do use it. For me, it's perfect - I can keep in touch with my bro that lives in London, my bro that lives in Germany and the rest of my family that live in a separate town. Also, I can keep in touch with my girlfriends family in the west country and I can get to know her friends better. I can also get to know friends of friends, giving me a bigger "real life" social circle. I can also promote my music production, DJ'ing and photography (Which has benefited me hugely, ALL my photo work has come from FB). I can limit what I put on there in terms of my private life, so I don't see what harm it can do. If you're happy being a recluse that doesn't want to branch out further than your current social circle, that's cool, but don't start being all Jehovah about it. Holy shit i see my small post on a forum has really rattled some cadges, people generally getting wound up about something because they cant compute. Where was the need in that statement MUEL, you need to listen to this guy My link might start to understand yourself a little better. Not sure why im still replaying to these. Topic over now boys, calm. Edited March 1, 2012 by Daniel Gray
Muel
There was no need GRAY, I just thought it was funny. I watched part of that video, the guy just appears to be high to me. I certainly don't need to listen to some old American rant about how wrong I am in order to "understand myself". I understand myself just fine. I go to work to earn the roof over my head and the things I need to enjoy life, then I go to bed, then I get up and do it again.
