Whats Going On With My Facebook?

Just in case you missed this:

Facebook is shit in terms of code/bugs etc. I regularly post a status that dissapears and then appears again 2 hours later.

Get used to it, basically. It's bugs/issues with the side of the site that runs on the server, not on your computer.

It was playing up for me all last night doing it.

Bull shit.

Horse shit.

Sheep shit.

IE9 is widely regarded as the safest browser. I don't use it personally because I use Firefox for it's plugins, but Firefox is so shit at the moment, it's rammed full of bugs and nastiness. Chrome is a good browser but massively restricted IMO, and it doesn't have the choice of plugins that Firefox has.

For the every day user at the moment, I'd say either IE9 or Opera. Chrome if you prefer, but I don't.

Keep thinking that, IE Security is generally useless.

But saying that ie has changed since the release of IE9 I understand they've made improvements on the standards adoption area and download management, however it is still completely unchangebale beyond your back-end Windows theme. I'd recommend you stay away from IE in general.

Do a quick google search, and take a butchers.

And you will find alot of IE people, prefer 8. Due to stability and so on. They Obviously havnt tried www.google.com/chrome.

On the facebook issue, have you tried a different browser or computer?

Did you even read the article you posted? They don't mention security. What they do do is give IE9, Firefox, Safari and Opera the same rating.

IE9 is the most secure browser, or was as of Q3 2011 when this report was issued and kicked up a stink.

IE9 is, at the moment, the newest browser as well IIRC. Firefox has basically been on bug-fixing since they released FF4 Beta in 2010, Chrome has only slightly changed since around the same time and so has Opera. Not sure about Safari, but IE9 had a brand new rendering engine in 2011. The only browser to release a new engine as far as I'm aware.

IE8 has been deprecated for over a year, so it's irrelevant to be honest.

I do google these things, I'm a front-end developer and do 90% of the browser testing at work as well, so I use all available browsers regularly.

It's also the only browser I haven't had trouble with in the last year. Opera had a memory leak that saw it using 3gb of my RAM and bringing my system to it's knees, Chrome refused to open once and had to be reinstalled, Firefox has so many bugs I can't keep track, and Safari needed reinstalling to make it talk to the internet again.

I only use it for testing because I don't like the way it works, but in terms of security, speed and features it's level pegging with all the other browsers.

Must be an interesting guy.

What an ignorant child you are... I actually deleted Facebook to live a real life. To get away from the primitive status updates of unintelligent individuals

such as your self it appears? i actually gave you a chance and pushed your comment of as a touch of humour on your side, as i liked your " the reality of growing up"... signature.

If you read into the realities of Facebook, its actually a scary concept of where people lives are heading.

I guess your just a sheep.

Sorry for the outburst, your probably a nice person but what a statement... the internet does it again.

It's one or the other? Why not have both a real life and facebook?

To get away from the primitive status updates of unintelligent individuals

So you're got f**ktards for friends, delete them?

Your life man not going to get into a debate.

You do understand your point is, being signed up to Facebook will somehow affect your life.

I heard that wearing Nike's makes you hallucinate about oranges attacking from the sky. Beware dudes, beware.

The last bits are even funnier. Your telepathy abilities are nearly as good as my hallucinogenic Nike's.

Is this actually happening? Actually i try to stay away from Nike as they exploit children in 3rd world countries to produce their products... oh sorry don't you believe that?

I do believe that, but I also know that sweatshops generally pay good wages compared to most other employment opportunities in those areas.

I believe in exploiting other peoples exploits while I can. If I don't buy Nike's it's very unlikely they'll go out of business, so I might as well keep buying them. But I assume your delusions of grandeur make you think that as a 1 in 7,000,000,000 (is there 3 more 0's or is that it?) statistic your opinion or actions matter to this planet?

Some people don't like Facebook, some do. I just love the fact that those that don't generally go on about the lack of lives of the ones who do.

I spend as little time as possible giving a f**k about what other people do, maybe some in here should too eh? ;)
