isitafox
This is a vid I got of a trial from Knabb Quarry in 1999 that I competed in. It features Martin Hawes, Chris Akrigg and a few other riders on a few of the sections including a waterfall section. The quality isn't brilliant as the vid is 13 years old and hasn't been played for probably 12 years and the VCR hasn't been used for about 6 years but it's as good as I could get. I'm gonna see if I can dig out the results later and get them scanned and posted up along with the cover letter for the vid stating which riders are which. For all you youngsters you'll notice the use of the bashring by the elite riders, this was allowed at the time along with stuff like the fact 26" bikes had to have a full set of useable gears at the back! Enjoy!! Edited February 21, 2012 by isitafox
Ben Swales
Quality! Great work getting it up Dave! It's great to see some of the old guard in action and how things have progressed since then (1999 is the year I started riding). I used to love Knabb Quarry as well! isitafox
Added the cover letter that shows who's riding, still looking for the results but I know I've got them somewhere. Pretty sure this is one where I rode against your mate with the Pashley, will find out when I dig the sheet out though!

STEVE-0
That is a relic! Awesome to look back several years to how I remember comps...questioning whether Stuart and Brian Matthews may have been behind the waterfall section... Great watch, Akrigg looked like he was killing it...
Robin M S/c
I was riding in that event. Think I had a battle for winning with Ricky Eyre on the blue route.
