Jds 24 Project

Alreet.

Most will know I've been begging, stealing, borrowing and bodging to get a 24 sorted. Only specifics when I began were that it was to be streety and dual disc, nothing else really mattered.

So far, here's what I've ended up with:

post-497-0-04833900-1328643663_thumb.jpg

It's easily the ugliest bike I've ever owned, but that won't be the case for long ;) Also realised I need either a 160mm disc for the back or an adaptor for the 180mm one I've already got... Not sure which way I'm going to go.

Massive thanks to those who helped out (lending or giving stuff):

Mr Rainbird for the forks

Mr Nichols for the back wheel, cranks and pedals

Mr Ben Rowlands for the tyre and pivotal seat (which I will definitely get round to putting on)

Watch this space for evolution into awesome summer build...

I found an adaptor in my room yesterday, let me give it a second look.

Would be awesome if it's +20 :)

Spec is good, far better than the Marino and matching tyres and hoses aren't far off then maaaaaybe the rattle cans will come out ;)

Looking good, it looks to me like you only need to ditch the bash and it will nearly all match. Quite jealous at this point :P

I've got a black bash in the garage which will be going on after I've given it a little modification... If you ever saw my thread about building the marino though, you'll see how anal I will be about making it all look as pimp as I can (Y) Thanks :)

I looked, it's not the adaptor you're looking for.

No worries, thanks for looking and for getting back to me early enough to get another sorted to be sent through tomorrow. Must ride this thing this weekend!

mental bmx mate, how much was that? is it fast?

get ready for literally hundreds of idiots dressed head to toe in addidas tracksuits to ask you the above questions repeatedly, everywere you go on that

anyway in all seriousness, that is a very nice build for a beg and borrow.. i mean that spec has got to be ten times better than half of the standard equipment on a new complete zoot (Y)

i think the only thing that it could do with cosmetically would be a matching pair of tyres, and maybe take a nice rattlecan of gloss black to the rear rim to match the front if your going to be running a rear disc, after that i think it would be a genuinely good looking bike!

look forward to seeing some fully finished pics when its all done, or maybe even a little bit of riding footage!

i bet you will love the way the frame ride's, i bought a zoot a year ago and friggin loved it, perfect geo for almost any style of riding and horizontal dropouts make it a winner! im running a zoot pro frame-kit now and its such a nice frame to ride.

So nice!! When you say your brake mount arrived..do you mean v to 4 bolt?

Ohhh edit - The disc brake one :|

Yea, I've wanted to be dual disc for about 10 years - no exaggeration - so it'll be good to finally get it done.
