Martin Reynolds
Tempted to get a set as everyone seams to mention these are amazing as. Did i hear that a certain batch are snap happy? Or is that just peoples experiences of them? Thanks
Duncy H
I believe the batch you mentioned was one of the very first batches produced that had a cable guide on them and which created a stress riser. It was very quickly addressed and as others have said they are well and truly awesome forks

MiuSliS
seen 4 bolt ones snap No fork will last forever and i'm pretty sure there other forks that snap way more often.
Laurence--Trials
I'm running them on my bike with disc up front, they feel pretty solid to me
AndrewEH1
Generally 4-bolt mount forks will fail sooner than their disc mount counterparts as the 4-bolt mount adds a stress riser. I use the 26" Trailtech Sport Disc on my rear-wheel rig and it works great! Edited February 7, 2012 by AndrewEH1
N.Wood
The best forks you'll buy. I had a set of the 'snap happy' very first forks with cable mount and they lasted me about 3 years before a small crack was created on the cable guide. For reference, my previous 2 pairs of forks (Echo Control) lasted 3 months and 6 months respectively. I replaced the trialtechs about 2 years ago now and they are still perfect. dave33
Don't think there are many people who have snapped the disc forks
Martin Reynolds
Were a nightmare to fit, had to file down my axle and file true the brake mounts, but they're on there...
dave33
Typical that you had an echo hub, think every other hub fitts
Luke Rainbird
Yeah, Echo tends to run a 10mm axle rather than a 9mm. At least you took it off the hub rather than the fork though
