piperfraz
I've stripped the thread on the non-drive-side crank on my bike. Was trying to reassemble my bike and completely forgot about the reverse threads thing So a few questions: Is it actually worth helicoiling? They are Onza cranks so I'm not sure whether it's worth it….Anyone know what size the thread is supposed to be, for if I do heli-coil?How hard/easy is it to helicoil a crank? Cheers for any help! isitafox
If its reverse thread i doubt you'll be able to get a helicoil for it. New cranks time if you ask me!
Luke Rainbird
Nah, they're doable (Tarty can do them for you if required) but if they're a set of cheaper cranks then it's probably best to just use this as a decent opportunity to upgrade
