Tips For Gaps.

Any better?

Get closer to the edge and preload more. But it's a lot better.

Pinch gapping is really useful, when you get it right you can easily gap 5ft or more without hardly using the drivetrain. You kind of preload, jump with your body and release the brake and that will shoot you forward. I'm shit at gaps, can do 8ft with minimal use of drivetrain but to do 9ft I have to stamp on the pedal really hard and that makes it look like your attempt in the first post. Oh and don't gap sideways, it looks super duper gay. Observe TRA's gapping technique, it's bang on.

Would it be better if i ran harder preasures while im learning pinch gaps so that i really have to force my rear wheel into the corner and make myself spring off?

Before setting off for the gap, move your bike slightly more sideways

do a little kick the edge of the take off, then then give it a big kick the little kick helps to preload

Quite hard to explain but i hope this helps

I prefer the oldschool TGS style gaps, kick, pick bike up in mid air, tuck and then extend. It doesnt look very smooth but it just looks so much nicer than moving in a straight line, theres more style to it.

I'd argue the contrary. I think ultra sideways gaps look ridiculous, but as has been said many times, find what works for you.
