Jake.
Well... The locals are pretty used to me now so I get the occasional "Hey it's you again!" and "Do you have any videos on youtube?".
CC12345678910
That's really positive, i'd take that an be proud of it. I've just had a guy in my class at college say 'at least i've got a car d**khead, all you've got it a slow-arse push bike'. It's a (fairly tidy) Saxo VTR fake that is a Cat D. cos he's crashed it twice. I was gonna leave it but, since he continued to show off and the bikes are me babies; I replied with 'whatever mate, i've more money sat in parts than your car will EVER be worth'. 'For push bikes? Thats pretty dumb intit.' 'Ok then' Bitch got schooled. Edited April 23, 2013 by CC12345678910

ItsMatt
"you're gunna break your neck!" when lining up for a 10ish foot drop today .. RIGHT put me off -.- this happens all too often. the main thing is the classic " f**kING HELL MATE YOUR SEAT HAS BEEN STOLEN". The best bit is playing along with it.
bikeperson45
One time this guy came up to me saying he watches me a lot and then got his phone out and showed me clips he had filmed of me. Thing was 'd noticed a few times someone in a car who I thought was filming me but thought I was just being cocky, mix of being flattered and creeped a little. Revolver
When someone asked me about my seatless bike I told them my ciguena frame didn't come with a seat because it was a manufacturing defect.
shercofray
Just been riding and had three mid forties guys stop, usual talk about the bike, asked me to do a gap, then say 'when you find something useful to do with your life. Don't' I don't know whether to take that as an insult or compliment?
JDâ„¢
That's probably more an insight into their own lives, and wishing they'd stuck at something they were doing at your age. Or it's a compliment, it's very unlikely it was an insult in my opinion.

aener
A few weeks ago I went off from the main group a little way to scout for lines. Two middle aged guys walked by, stopped and looked at my bike and said "'Scuse me mate, is that a trials bike?" "Yeah," I said. "I thought it was, but there's all different ones aren't there? So I wasn't sure." "Yep, quite a few. Some look pretty different to others too." "Have you seen that guy on YouTube?" he asked. "I've seen lots of guys on YouTube. Which one?" "The famous one... Danny something-or-other." "Ohhhh. Danny MegaSkill? On the orange bike?" "That's the one!" he said. "Yeah... Pretty much any trials rider ever has seen him. Haha. What about him?" "He's my step-son." He walked off with the most contented smile I've ever seen.
