Rourke
Hey guys I have a onza zoot 2010, and I was wondering if anybody knows how to make the brake cables loose enough, to do a footjam tail whip, with stock brakes.
Luke Rainbird
Either a pair of longer cables or a long rear and run the front down through your steerer tube would do the job You'll need to buy the cable/s, of course, but that means you can upgrade to a linear outer while you're at it and improve the feel and performance of the brake in one go
ooo
I got one of these, but I haven't fitted it yet.. http://www.gussetbikes.com/products-information.php?id=HSGU*NFS
Carlperkins
yeah basically just buy one of those gusset top caps as above. (£5 from tartys) get a new brake cable, run the new one to the rear brake making sure you have enough cable slack to turn the bars once or twice, then use the old rear cable to run on the front, run it through the stem and jobs a good un'. by the way if your still running a v brake on the front it will be hard to do the cable through the stem idea, just because the brake is so close to the top of the forks. i ran a disc and it was way better,
Rourke
Ok so here. So what disc brake should I run? And one last thing. You know how onza zoot has a thin front wheel, can I run a wider wheel on the Same fork?
William trials
be aware of that if you're going to use a disc brake at the front then you would need a new front hub that supports discs. the original zoot hub doesn't support it. but anyway, i would recommend "Avid bb5" disc brake. Chris Borneo
You could still run a v but you'd have to run the cable down the fork leg and back on it's self. Then into the brake from underneath. Might take a bit of tweakin with the noodle.
