monkeymoped
after a few years on and off riding mods , downhill, and 4x (well still riding dh and 4x) , so i'm a little rusty regarding gear ratios for a stock, i know i'm way out but i've found a 32-18 seems to be working well for me (got a little larger than usuAL bash guard) :zorro: :wizard: :wizard:
Luke Rainbird
Since most people would run the equivalent of around 22:18, that's still a pretty hard ratio (relatively speaking) The majority of people will be running 18:15/18:16 as a rule of thumb If you wanted to stick with the 32t ring and get a comparable ratio you'd be looking at a 26/27t sprocket out back. Greetings
i have got "hobbit" legs meaning silly muscley calfs I'm so sorry Used to ride 17:16 with 158mm cranks, recently changed over to 17:15 with 160mm and I'm really happy with it. Really don't like long cranks, they feel like walking through a marsh in wellingtons filled with concrete.
Danny00135
Divide the front by the rear... the minimum should be 1.125 and the maximum should be 1.2 for example if you have a 20t front and a 17t rear, 20/17 = 1.176 use this for a good feeling gear ratio
