hazza2805
My MAD Phase frame flexes A LOT, the rear brake has great hold but poor bite. The distance between brake mounts is a tiny 90mm, are there any 2 bolt boosters that will fit? The closest I have seen is the (ugly) Neon Booster which is 91mm. It doesn't look like there's a lot of material to file down to make it smaller though Cheers, Harry Edited January 23, 2012 by hazza2805
Mark W
A cut-down Tensile 4-bolt booster?
hazza2805
Cheers, I hadn't thought of that! It seems my options are a filed Neon 2 bolt, or a cut down Tensile or Trialtech 4 bolt.
CC12345678910
What about the booster from some Evo2 mounts??? just a guess but I'd say that'd be narrow enough. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/brake_clamps/magura_evo2_brake_adaptor_kit/c74p10934.html Try it, there only a tenner and if it don't fit I'm sure you could use them somewhere else, eh? EDIT: just found this a couple of topics up Them boosters are just nicer versions of evo2 boosters and a guy ^ reckons they have a 'eighty somthing mm' spacing, so try it out Edited January 25, 2012 by CC12345678910
Mark W
Evo 2 boosters aren't really all that stiff though, so you may need to double up on them to get a booster worth using.
hazza2805
Cheers for the ideas guys, I think I will wait for the Tensile booster to be in stock at tarty. Harry
