Matt Vandart
I was reading the thread on comps in Wales thread and was thinking to myself that some comps independent to the standard comps could be a cool idea. To make it more appealing to the majority. For example they could be open type comps where you ride whatever you like, anything at all and everyone is against everyone if you get me. Mod, Stock, 24, big bmx's all in one big mash up. I also have been watching these vids: and thinking that this kind o 'All Mountain Trial' comp would also be cool where you had to ride between sections not necessarily on a full sus bike either on whatever you want, where the total time to complete the course has an effect on your total course. What do you think o this idea?
N.Wood
I seem to remember Ali did one up his way on his Koxx Mixx (i think?) where you ride xc, dh, and some watered down trials on the same bike and it makes a total score. Yeah, that was cool BUT you didn't get points from each activity which lead to a winner with the most points. They had it so that the better you did in the trials and DH the better your start position was in the XC race. I hate the way they did that! I won the DH, cleaned the trial and came 11th in the XC race, that would have given me enough points to be classed as the best overall rider rather than 11th place. It was just a glorified XC race really.

Luke Rainbird
Find a location, contact owners, gain permission. Find any external materials, insurance etc, get it. Get together a team (optional) to help organise/move/set up. Advertise so people know it exists. Run around like a headless chicken sorting things you'd not thought of on the day. Sleep for a week. Check out reviews/feedback. Repeat.
