the mysterious leemur
Pour water on dis & pads then cycle around with the brake on slighly then do a gap every so often , I bedded in my hopes doing that in 5 minutes . Side note how to you face forks ? Also never get the roter hot then put water on it that will glaze the pads and completley ruin them . Jamie East
Carl, best way to do bed them in is get as much speed up as possible, then slam the brake on, repeat a few times. If you drag it on slightly, theres a chance it can glaze over. Just done my rear hope, didnt even need water and its ace.

Just check there isn't any oil on the rotor from bleeding by using some meths, Remove that with a clean cloth, put some water on and do as he says, just dragging tends to glaze the pads

dave33
Meths leaves a residue, better off using IPA. methylated spirits? Or you thinking of White spirits? Iv always used it as it's non oil based unlike most of the disc brake cleaners that most bike shops have! Will have to try some of that next time I need to clean to see how it compares
