sstein
hey guys. i previously had a marino when he started making them a while back which didnt last to well. He refunded me and has offered to do me a good deal on the chromo frames now he is doing them. My question is what are peoples experiences with his stuff for street, not tgs but proper spinny, flowy street riding? anyone who has one could you please say if it has been ok and how long you have had it? cheers
aener
I've had mine around three months now and think it's fair to say I've given it an absolute pasting for the entire duration. Loads of dents and scratches (all my fault), but no cracks, dodgy joints or signs of giving up whatsoever. Very strong frame, but my geometry was a little out (extra 10mm than I specified on the wheelbase) and it was almost two months between ordering and receiving. If you can wait, you'll get a good quality, custom geo, nigh on indestructible frame for just over £200.
Luke Rainbird
My old 24" was one of the earlier Hi-Ten jobbys and took everything I could throw at it more than comfortably. Geometry was perfect to the mm and welds were all pretty tidy etc. I gave it a thrashing for a year or so before shifting it on to Mr Whittingham ("arw" on here) who's been riding it hard since and it's holding up really well for him too I believe. If he offered you a decent deal then I'd seriously consider it - for the money you're most likely onto a winner
JD™
Mine gets a good smashing a lot where my skill is outweighed by my perception of my skill. Held up without any problems at all. The brake mounts were slightly off, but definitely usable. Mine was one of his first cromo frames as well (apparently) and there's not even a hint of a crack anywhere. Mine came a hell of a lot quicker than Flipps too, I was proper impressed with it especially for the price. So much so that when I replace my 24 frame it'll most likely be with another one. sstein
any signs of twisting on the rear end? i had two; a trials one and a dirt jump one both from high-ten. my trials one twisted pretty quickly but my streety one seems fine, i have also seen some twisting on one of his mods, i am just wondering if it is the seat tubeless design. aener
I wasn't gonna say 'cause I thought it was just be me being spastic, but yeah - a little. About an inch of difference between wheel centres.

Hi tensile tubing twists at the rear end, chromo doesnt normally so if you get a chromo frame it should be fine
