ooo
if your freewheel is definitely okay; could it be your bottom bracket ? have you taken the cranks and freewheel off and tried turning the axle ? Is your rear wheel turning okay ? more info on what you've tried or pictures might help people answer...

zonazip Jake
its proberly just the bb mate , though i cant see how it just locked up like that. if not it may be the bearings in the rear hub. if its none of those then way the bike in lol

kane666r
Chap if your rear wheel is off, and you still cant move the cranks, then the bottom bracket is the problem, as your cranks should spin freely with out the chain on the freewheel, just a heads up

peluca
It's the BB 100%
TrialsIsHard
Sounds like what's happened is the bearings in your BB have just died, and possibly the raceways exploded or something. Best thing to do is to take the BB out, and chances are it will never work again so take it all apart and see what's gone wrong. I doubt it's the cold that has made it break though..
