o0jack0o
Hi Basically finding it hard to find new places to look for bikes online. At the moment i look on TartyBikes, Ebay, and ofcourse on here. So any suggestions of good places to buy from - looking for a new stock bike and struggling to find new makes/ models. Links would be great as well as if you have bought from them Thanks Jack

craigjames
New there are very few shops that sell them. Tarry do the widest range of specialist trails brands. Other shops will do various brands that are more well known to the mtb world or are aimed at beginners; such as diamondback, Ashton and phase. These bikes are fine as beginners bikes. Although for the money you'll generally get a much better value for money second hand bike from here or ebay. It really depends on what you're looking for? You say you're after a stock, why new? How tall are you? Are you completely new to the sport? What is your budget? With a little bit more info I'm sure we can get you a suitable bike or a good idea of what you're after/can expect. Danny00135
http://www.ecrater.co.uk/search.php?keywords=trials+bikes&x=24&y=11&fb_source=message i've never bought from them but the prices seem not bad, the parts are not the best but they're compleatley upgradable, if you're after something a little better than look on pinkbike.com for a second hand one, or of course wait untill something decent to pop up on here, or ebay. Hi, I rode a Onza T-bird for about a year on my cousins bike while he was as uni. I liked it but always thought i needed something a bit bigger (im about 6ft). I'm not completely set on a new bike i suppose its just you know what you're getting when you buy new whereas second hand is a bit more risky based on just photo's. I have recently seen this bike (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170761034992&category=33503&_trksid=p5197.c0.m6190)on ebay. It needs a bit of work doing to it and replacing a few parts but looks pretty good to me (and its local which is a bonus). Oh yeah and budget is about £450 What do you think? ooo
your budget is quite high so you can afford the repairs on it, its worth checking out how much they cost though, it sounds like one of the brake mounts need helicoiling, look that up if you don't know what it is, you will need to be competent or know someone that is competent drilling and tapping. the rest is relativley straight forward bike maintenance if you have the tools. p.s. i saw this bike on gumtree too, if you pay cash in hand without ebay, youre likely to get discount because he wont have to pay ebay fees (about 10%). as for the bike i don't know about it but im sure someone on here knows about them. o0jack0o
Alright thanks, may be able to pay cash in hand because he lives close. Also not to sure about helicoiling but i'll look it up. My dad is pretty good with all things mechanical so i'm sure he would be able to do it anyway. I am also going to find out how much it cost too. Thanks for you're help.
