bagre15
Hi, I'm planning to get rear disc brake (hope tech trial) with a 160mm rotor for my because simple 20", but I'm not sure about the caliper size. Wich caliper should I get 3# or 5#? What is the diference between them? Thanks and sorry about any errors in my writing
Azarathal
From what I remember it'll be the #5 caliper. Bascially the #5 caliper will be 180mm if run on the forks or 160mm on the rear wheras a #3 wil be 160mm on the forks and 140mm on the rear. My rear mount is IS standard

bagre15
I just told you to run a #5 and gave reasons why... Sorry I didn`t read well. But I was looking a tarty and I thought the 5# would be for Koxx frames with 160mm rotor. Can you explain the difference between 5# and 3# please? dave33
the difference is 20mm on disc rotor size, the koxx has a plus 20 mount which means its in the right place for a bigger rotor so if u had a koxx with plus 20mm you would run a number 5 with 160mm rotor but if you put the nunber 5 on an iso you would need a 140mm rotor you can also buy plus 20 adaptors etc from hope and some other company but in ur case you need a number 3 for the rear if you want 160mm
