AndrewEH1
I'm looking for some anti seize paste to install a new bottom bracket. I was thinking about using Shimano Anti Seize Paste, is it any good? Is there a better paste that you recommend? forteh
Any copperslip will be more than good enough You might find a local engineering firm will be kind enough to give you some in a plastic bag. You only need a tiny smear, a 50ml tube will last forever unless you go mental

Even standard grease is good enough for BB. As opposed to using a trials specific one? Edited January 6, 2012 by AndrewEH1

Well its been used as an anti seize compound for decades, it isn't metal filings, more of a ground powder. The shimano one will be exactly the same stuff with perhaps a different filler. All the anti seize is doing is preventing fretting and galvanic corrosion between the two components, think of it as a barrier cream than a lubricant. Ghostrider is right though, a normal ep2 grease will be absolutely fine
