DeanPGreen
My brother has the lever on his bike with magura slaves and his have been fine. Brake works well like you would expect and they look pretty neat too. He likes them alot and said that the lever feels really comfy too. Scoox
ok thats good, just bought one and people are telling me they leek from the piston? il see how it goes on a oil bleed I first owned the Echo TR brake, but I was curious about the new 2011 HS33, so I bought one too. Both are very good brakes and either will do the job, but after using both for a while I have decided to stick with the HS33 because it makes maintenance and set-up more convenient. Below are my thoughts on the Echo TR lever. The good: They do what they are supposed to doLooks sexyLever blade shape is very ergonomic and comfortableEnd of lever blade wraps around the finger better than the HS33, so it's harder for your finger to slip off.Much lighter than Magura leverSimple design--less things to breakClamp design means there are no nasty bolts to hit your knees on.Clamp bolt is a standard bolt, unlike Magura which uses custom alloy bolts. If you lose or damage the bolt you can go to your nearest DIY store and buy a replacement for very little money.Flip flop design means you can use it both left and right side.Barbed fitting is the same as slave barbed fittings (cheaper) The not so good: Clamp design means you need four hands to set it up: one to do the bolt, one to keep the nut from spinning, one to stop the cylinder from spinning, and one to hold the lever in place while tightening.Clamp design saves weight but you need to remove the grip in order to slide the lever off the bars, whereas with Maguras you don't need to. Keep this in mind if you plan to bath-bleed your brake.I found the TPA screw thread can shave aluminium off the lever blade near the brass barrel as you turn it.Lever blade has slight amount of play, whereas my new Maggie blade hardly moves. T0m
I'm also using the 2011 levers, on both rim and disk and they are great. No problems whatsoever, they're light and look clean =) Hope they work well for you
