0zzy
easy guys, what would you count as "correct" chain tension, as ive seen a lot of comp riders running it loose in comparison to others, is there a benefit to this? how much play do you allow in your chain ? dann2707
I have it fairly tight but if I spin my wheel with the cranks there is no friction and the hub spins as free as it can go. I hate having a slack chain as the lag between pedalling and the bike actually moving is a real pain and pretty dangerous.
Blake
Tight enough to not hit chainstays, loose enough to let everything spin well
Azarathal
Tighter than razorwire when new so I don't have to adjust it as often whilst its stretching. Otherwise, quite tight but if I push it down it'll slacken a bit.
