Laurence--Trials
Right im new to itunes and i need some help, i have music on my computer (no CD) can i upload it onto itunes and then onto my ipod, if not, is there any way i CAN do it? New question: Can i change the name of the song on either my ipod or itunes? And I download all my music from like YT and alike, so when i upload it to itunes, is there any way i can put it into groups or albums because EVERYTHING is under an "unknown" album at the moment. New question Post 18. Edited March 3, 2012 by Laurence--Trials

TrialsIsHard
Indeed, right click on the song in your iTunes library, and click 'get info' where you can then fill in the artist/album and all that.. Could also try downloading one of those 'music fix up' programmes which will auto fill in all the blanks and unknowns, I had one and it got a few wrong and only let me fix 50 songs before I purchased the full version.. But maybe worth a try Hope that helps

Surely it's only the demo version that is free, so there will be restrictions? E.g you can only do 100 songs per day, or something. It would be pointless to give the full version out for free? TrialsIsHard
I'll bet you £100 that MP3tag is free. Yup, just checked it out. They rely entirely on donations, silly really Saw an advert at the bottom of the page for TuneUp which was the one I used, don't really recommend it! Laurence--Trials
Another new question, can you download videos onto the ipod from youtube? Like using the ipod not the computer or itunes/etc?
t-comp-kierz
Yes if you jailbreak it and download youtube converter or MXtube from cydia. Edited January 4, 2012 by t-comp-kierz
King C
I'm not so clued up on the new ipods but why would you need to jailbreak it? Just download the videos and convert them?
Laurence--Trials
Yes if you jailbreak it and download youtube converter or MXtube from cydia. Thanks. So whats actually the advantages of jail braking it? Edited January 5, 2012 by Laurence--Trials
weirdoku
Jailbreaking gets you free apps, tweaks/customisations, custom apps, stuff that apple doesn't let you do basically.
TrialsIsHard
I use this programme to do mine, it's completely free. But what I didn't realise is that although the downloader can download in 720p my ipod (classic 160gb) wouldn't accept it, so I had to use 480p. Laurence--Trials
Bump, new question. Right im trying to get some videos onto my ipod from youtube, im using this site [ http://www.zamzar.com/url/ ] I've used it before, its reliable and everything although im not sure what file type i need? I've tried "ipod" file type but then i couldn't get it into itunes and sync it. I assume i need to put it into the films part of itunes? Basically i have no idea what im doing I have had a google. And on the apple website they show itunes like this with all the logos/categorys with colours All my logos are grey, is that normal? TrialsIsHard
It looks fine to me buddy, you only have a problem if it doesn't work Bump, new question. Make sure you are downloading in less than 720p.. iTunes won't do HD. You'll also be wanting MP4
Tomm
iTunes should be able to dot he conversion for you. Drag it into iTunes and it's something like right-click, convert for iPod.
weirdoku
Ipod/iphones play .mp4 and .mov and what ever else that I can't remember. But skip the ipod video player and use VLC app to play your videos, if you have say an iphone 3gs/4/4s or the new ipods you can play videos without having to encode them first. You just sync it through the app tab in itunes.

weirdoku
EDIT: cant get it to work, its just like scanning for computers and has been for ages. You have to actually transfer the file on the ipod you know... I don't know what you were scanning for.
