trialskidy
Hey guys i think i have a problem with my snail cams on my bionic b4r frame they are try all smooth, At the start every few days i had to just put the chain and wheel in place again but now i have to do that almost every hour when riding it moves the wheel so it touches the pads and loosens the chain, Anyone got any suggestions ? Not much can go wrong with the smooth cams. Have you tried a notched one also check the axle cones are tight so the wheel still turns it happened to me i though the wheel came loose as the rim was rubbing on pads but there was play on the axle due to cones coming loose. isitafox
What wheels do you use? I had the same problem at first with my Echo TR rear hub as the axle washers are smooth so when the wheels are bolted up they can still pull forward on the dropout under power. isitafox
You need some serrated washers in that case, should sort it no problem!

Robwalker
is the axle length protruding the dropouts? It sounds like your bolts are not done up tight enough, and this could be a reason. They need to be sitting inside the dropouts, try and take a bit off with a file if it's poking out... if you see what i mean.

Alex Dark
Ive always ran smooth snailcams on a few hubs and never had a problem at all. Check your bolts aren't bottoming out in the hub ( eg they run out of thread before they clamp the frame ) and check ( with the bolts removed ) the axle doesnt protrude past the dropout.
