cunny12345
Hi guys, i have just recieved a set of trialtech forks, i am getting them for christmas but i just wanted to see what they would look like with my rims, i went to put them on when i discovered a problem, my bolts in my wheel seem to be too big to fit through my forks, anybody know what i can do? oh yeah by the way i am using the Try-all rim with what looks like an adamant disk hub. Cheers, Matt.
Laurence--Trials
Most hubs are 10mm, trial techs have drop outs for a 9mm hubs, i have the exact same problem, just file away the drop out slightly, just half a mill on each side, problem solved. Wont cause any weakness to the fork either. Or If you have a lathe then pop the axle out and machine the axle down to 9mm.

bike_dummie
Remove the axle and send it to tarty, they will put the axle in the lathe for around £10 and postage for just an axle will be cheap as chips. Saves you ruining a £100 set of forks for the sake of a easily replacable £15 axle. Edited December 23, 2011 by bike_dummie

aener
Don't be worried about filing the dropouts, wouldn't affect the forks in any way . Seconded. Done it to both sets of mine. Only replaced the first set after they died where the legs join the crown. It's not ideal, and you'll feel like a torturer doing it, but it's totally fine. Revolver
Furthermore, it makes more sense - a set of 10mm dropouts will fit any 10 and 9mm hub. You'd be futureproofing the forks, kinda.
