isitafox
Hacksaw or grind a slot in the bolt head and use a flat screwdriver to undo it
onza1
Cheers, could I use a screwdriver and chisel a slot in to it?

winchman
Hey My rear v has completely broke so I'm trying to remove it but the thread to get it off has worn so won't grip the Allen key! Is there another way to remove it ? Cheers Might be best letting a shop remove it unless you are confident as it would be a shame to damage anything. I have a few special tools for removing stuff like this but I often have to do it. If you just have basic stuff hacksaw a slot in the top of it and unscrew with a screw driver

J Trials 31
You'll be good with any of the Avid SD series or Ultimates or Shimano XT's or XTR's.
