Hi guys!

I post here the first study of trials moves. It is an amaaaazing video, believe me, you have not seen anything similar. The producer is the spanish street rider Carlos Lopez, and this video is his end of degree proyect.

The video lasts 14 minutes, although it has been created through months and months of hard work, and with expensive audiovisual material. Carlos made a big big effort to finish this proyect, and being objective, I think he has surely achieved his expectations of the video.

The rider in the video is Lite (Alexis Villar), another top spanish street rider. He has also worked in the proyect helping with his advises about sport physics.

Here´s the link. The video is subtitled to english, so I hope you watch it till the end.

I recommend you to watch it in HD FullScreen, as video quality is optimum.

I was a bit lost too, it's a video to analyse which muscles are used in very big sidehops? The conclusion of which, was pretty much all of them..

Love the riding though, would welcome a full length video without all the analysis parts.. Although the slow motion and tracking ball things were pretty cool for creating a 3D picture of what he was doing.

Quality video, been looking forward to this since the trailer came out.. around 1 and a half years ago? :P

Less sidehops would also have been nice, I think I lost count at around the 40 mark when I was halfway through the video.

It was an analisis of the sidehop (or so I understand) so perhaps that would explain why there were a lot of sidehops in that video.

I gather this is just a video that documents the process of your work and that all the findings are written down in the form of a dissertation or something? None the less it seemed very professional. Top work.

First part was good, underwear part not so good. I found It was a bit random in some parts, they could have been more specific with brain processing and in some parts they could have written some FAQ to guide us a bit about what they wanted to explain. Maybe this was the side-hop segment of a bigger video. Still looked good and professional. Nice work!

Hello everybody,

I'm Carles López, producer of this film.

This project was created as the first of a series of videos to analyze bike trial movements.

This is my final degree project. Theoretically it could not develop a single video. I had to create a project (on paper) to sell and broadcast, for example, on television. I had to choose one of the movements of biketrial and I thought that sidehop was a good choice because it involves many parts of the body, is spectacular and is an unique movement that only happen in this sport.

This project aims to help understand how our body works when performing this movement. It is for informational purposes and also aims to entertain the viewer and get away from the traditional documentary.

Concerning to perform movements in underwear (it was a swimsuit) I think it's obvious why ... We're talking about a movement analysis, intended to show how each part of the body reacts, so it obviously does not want to clog the rider under the pants. I hope not to hurt anyone's feelings.

Sorry if I made spelling mistakes and I hope to have resolved some doubts.

Thank you very much for the comments.

Cheers.
