Max.BMX&Trials
I love the hope tech lever ( http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/disc_brake/hope_tech_lever/c556p11071.html ) and was just wondering weather it would fit a rear avid judy 3 hydraulic disk brake. Would I need a different hose or will just not work?
Max.BMX&Trials
anyone?
J.KYDD
It won't work dude. The Hope lever works on a different ratio (or summat) to the avid caliper
craigjames
Why not see if you can find an avid juicy 7 lever on eBay or pinkbike if you want more adjustability? At least you'll know it will work!
Ali C
don't see why it wouldn't work, both run dot fluid so no issues with seals. Sure the hope lever may have a different leverage ratio, but all that will do is effect how firm or spongy the lever will feel. The difference would be minimal anyway so I am sure the lever would feel fine. You may need to buy specific fittings from either Hope or Avid though
