dannytrialskid
Split my hose yesturday. Used a stanley knife to cut the hose and cut the hose off of the lever. I have tried putting it back on but its so tight to get on there. Have tried heating up the end of the hose in boiling water and that didn't work either. Any tips? Trying to get done asap because am riding tonight. :/
chris4stars
you need to clamp the hose and 'gently' use a hammer to get it in (its a barbed fitting like a regular magura right?). tarty sell the clamping blocks that have grooves in so not to damage your hose...you may need to improvise
Revolver
Do you have tools? Get a block of wood, 5 cm cube would do it, drill into it a hole that's the width of the hose, cut this exactly in half with a saw. Place the hose in the hole, clamp this in a clamp, and then hammer the fitting in. So yeah, you need to make those. It will make this job roughly 100% easier. dannytrialskid
Thanks guys! Done it in a matter of seconds. Got 2 pieces of wood. Without cutting the hole. Put in a vice. Put the hose in the middle. Tightened it up just enough so that when I hit the barb in with the hammer the hose doesn't slide out and it slipped in!
