Azarathal
Seems pretty strange grouping us in with CRC. I can understand their issues with CRC because they are price-bashing the shit out of everything MTB-related, but the stuff we carry is for the most part totally different to what everyone else does (so we're not direct competition for them), we stock almost everything at the normal RRP for that product (rather than massively undercutting people) and generally speaking most LBSs don't give a shit about trials and don't stock anything other than a few Onzas every now and again. If they order things from suppliers when you order them through your LBS, it should be pretty quick to get to them too unless they hold the order to try and make it more worth their while postage-wise, so there shouldn't really be much of an issue with speed either... The owner of the shop I work in seems to think you guys are competition despite him not stocking anything trials, having no knowledge of trials (nor anything post-90's) and having had no one ask for trials gear. Store manager is a lot better though, he knows you guys aren't competitors so doesn't mind if I get parts delivered to work.

The thing with that is that we offer trade prices to shops on stuff we import, so if they wanted to they could get it from us. For everything else most shops will usually have accounts with our suppliers so they can get the same stuff we get within the UK anyway (e.g. Trialtech, Inspired, Onza, Maxxis and so on). With niche stuff like trials, if shop owners know there's a scene there I'd have thought it would've made sense to get some stuff in. There are some shops out there who are fairly regular customers of our's because their particular town has a good riding scene, so they like to keep stuff in stock. Hi Mark i assume your the mark from tartybikes. just out of curiosity how long should it take to true, dish and lateral true a wheel if it already has been laced with no tension?? That sort of depends on the wheel and who's doing it, really. Ali builds loads of wheels so he'd probably have finished it 5 minutes before you gave it to him, but I'm nowhere near as quick with stuff like that so it'd probably take me nearer 20-30mins or so. Mark W
If that's in a shop it can sort of vary a bit - if you've got to deal with customers, help out with something else, etc. then it can take longer. It shouldn't really take an hour if he's just doing that on it's own though...

Not really your a web based shop which is what they have a grudge against. But I think you may be missing the point a bit. It is no good slagging the competition because they are taking ones business, one must adapt to the changing market or go down the pan. Its a pure head in the sand situation. Luke Rainbird
So they're pretty pissed at Play.com too I guess? CheapRussianSluts.com must get them pretty worked up too? Tangent yeah, but Mark's point is pretty valid.
