Azarathal
Another new pic, new tyres (Small block8 front, Fat albert rear), saved about 900g. Also got a new stem, bars, rear brake and I also have a rear chris king also got some trial tech forks because I snapped my echos So I've finally got some decent pictures courtesy of Mr.Chinnergay(Borat) whilst on a ride with him and Stoozie. I've also stuck a tasty dent in the downtube, got a maggy lever to replace my echo one, stuck a trialtech hose splitter on and got myself a hope Edited June 21, 2012 by Azarathal
err
looks good, i take it you had a tr lever before? mine took loads of mucking about with to get a decent lever feel, magura levers give a much more solid feel to the brake
Azarathal
Yeah I tried various boosters before Nick Manning told me his was exactly the same, stuck a maggy lever on and it's rock solid Plus I think the maggy lever has a stronger, snappier spring in the master. onzatrip
That booster looks epic!!! I don't like it with that mod stem!! They ride epic with tt high rise stem and bars
Azarathal
Might that be because its your booster? Stem feels nice, 150x30 is much nicer than 120x25. Going to have a Hope monotrial on the front tomorrow hopefully! Got a nice shiny dent in it too, f**king rails.

It may be that and if my bike is sorted il pinch a play on it, if you do get the hope I may have the echo on the 19th

Azarathal
Nice new update do this, managed to snap my front hub (the bit the disc tabs and bearing are) so currently without a front wheel, annoying as I'd only re-built it one ride before. I've also got back to an 04 maggy as I prefer the lever feel, I've finally learnt to sidehop too! Probably looking at some new tyres soon as these Kendas are narrow at 2.35 and heavy as fawwkk, what would you guys recommend?

I've decided on a Kenda small block 8 for the front and a Schwalbe Fat Albert 2.4 folding for the rear. Not sure on the kenda but its light and the Fat Albert is 690 grams and grippy too. Azarathal
Yeah I thought about a fat albert but because its so light im worried about pinches.
craigjames
Yeah I thought about a fat albert but because its so light im worried about pinches. Well i ran for a few months whilst i was riding the Onza Ice 24" proto and had no issues on street or natural. I'm definitely going for one again
Azarathal
I might just get one then when funds allow. The only info I can find on the Kinetics 24x2.35 tyres is that they weigh about 700g, is it worth the upgrade do you reckon?

If that's for the rear then I would say no, i would stick with what you have until you can get a Schwalbe on the rear. As for the front that's up to you. Not many great choices, hence i'm plumping for a small block 8.

tomturd
ha, cheers. Not wanting to go off topic and equally I don't want to sound cheesey, but just want to say that I don't really see the forum as mine (or mine and dannys), it's everyones. If it wasn't for the members it would be nothing! (apologies is that made anyone spew a little bit )
Lewis Gething
Aw. Well regardless, I really enjoy using Trials-Forum, and the updates you guys are doing are really turning it into a super site, one which I think is definitely better than the likes of OTN Sorry Azarathal for straying off topic :$
