err
Sorry can't help, just waiting for the 'mudguards are for pussies' post... mudguards are totally for pussies! nah, i'm all for mudguards, dog shit on your face isn't pleasant to the op, maybe you could sort some kind of shim to get the standard size guards to fit? isitafox
Could you not mod one and use a headlock to hold it in place?
monkeyseemonkeydo
Two easy options would be to either use an inner tube or similar to shim out the existing fitting (a bit dodgy) or replace the fitting with a star fangled nut the right diameter for the bottom of the forks (less dodgy. Otherwise go for an RRP combined with a downtube mounted mudguard.

Ali C
getting muddy is all part of th fun However, mud in the eyes isn't fun at all. The innertube ziptied from the crown to the arch seem to stop the mud from flying up and into your face, so I would say try that.
Matt Vandart
Mud is deffinately part of the fun but it is seriously muddy round here, one cannot see half of the time going downhill and the mud tends to have rocks in it also. Cannot fit a downtube jobby I dont think because of the shape of the downtube on my bike.

Or save some money and use an old inner tube and some zip ties! And they say the Scots are tight...

Topsy
Are there actually any good loking rear mudguards? have not been using any for a while because the back one always looked shit. Here, read this.. I think you want one from SKS Edited December 6, 2011 by Hopping_Topsy
Tomm
If it's just for cross country riding, you can prevent 90% of mud hitting your face with one of those RRP (http://www.rapidracerproducts.com/NeoGuard.htm) which looks 100% less gay. Don't bother actually paying for them, obviously, you can make one easily out of an old inner tube. If it's for commuting or whatever then get something that fits a bit closer to the tyre.
