I have swapped to 24 about a month ago on a 26 I can get in the 50's but with 24 I'm finding I cant tuck and as a result I'm rinsing to 47 but over this I'm finding I'm kicking my back end out and I can't get in behind me in time to level out and my body is right up on frame and I have slipped off the pedal as my body is in such a bad position. I find I can sorta tuck if I drop front end and preload different but I feel this will limit me I'm considering trialtech high-rise bars to see if this helps I'm using a tryall 3d stem 10 mm spacers and tryall elite bars, any other advice would be really great,

in the 50's is huge! :o

It's also too old to be doing sidehops ;)

Edit: On a more serious note, it sounds like you are very hunched up on the bike. Are you quite tall? It sounds as if higher bars and a longer stem might do you good. Going from a 26" to 24" might feel different initially, but you'll get the hang of it.
