G_!
hello, i bought a Panasonic hd camera, that's awesome but i have problems to read their files. They are MTS files, my pc and sony vegas7 can't read this, so i can't edit videos.. i looked for mts-avi/wmv converters but i can't find a good one... what i have to install to read this? why sony vegas can't read this? i have to change of editing software? if i install a thing for my pc to read this, then sony vegas will read this? with the camera there is a simple software to edit which i've edited the recent clips but i need a better one.. i hope you can understand my english.. thanks for the help
Greetings
MTS is MPEG-2 if I'm not mistaken. You can use Xilisoft video converter to change the format to something different. You can also try changing the extension from MTS to M2T and see if Vegas accepts it. As for normal viewing, VLC should be able to play these files with ease.

Rob_P
Highly recommend the xilisoft HD software too, I had the same headache recently but this worked a dream. Then import it into whatever software you're using to edit
