3dd
Frame looks nice and simple, whats up with the "pancake" brakes - never heard of them!
Laurence--Trials
They use a different way of working, i'll see if i can find the artical on them. Pretty nice bike to be fair, love the geo too! theres hardly any bikes with a 1010 wheel base

That review doesn't fill anyone with any confidence! Not that shaving off speed at 'high speeds' are that common in trials

Which means it's still cheaper than a comparable bike like the Echo Lite SL, but with a way better spec? The brakes are the only thing I'd really want to change on this bike - everything else is pretty much top end (hence it weighing 8.22kg as a standard build). The Austin's also going to be available frame only. It's basically a cheaper Manus - the frame's very similar, but - for example - has cheaper dropouts instead of the more expensive tiny ones on the Manus/Akali/etc.
3dd
Sounds like a brake with plenty modulation like magura disc brakes and not much locking/holding power. From the review it sounds like these brakes are made for light cross-country riding...
Mark W
The user reviews at the bottom make them sound a little more powerful though, in fairness. Two two people who actually used them and bedded them in seemed to get on with them (the two 1 star reviews were on a demo bike and someone who bolted them on then took them off again...). Mark W
I was hoping to get them up on the website on Friday, but didn't get a chance. Should be up around the middle of this week, hopefully. No idea on the price though, I'm afraid.

Because Rockman probably got a great price on these brakes, and they looks a bit like shimano saints. At first glance I thought they were, so probably looks/price rather than because they are good for trials!

Laurence--Trials
Not really... thats just chose how they've chosen to style their brake. Theres only a curtain amount of ways you can design a brake lever to be fair.

There's nothing to say you can't use them. Onzas come with quite low-standard brakes (i know you can't really compare the builds) and they're used effectively with very little trouble by a lot of people without upgrade. Decent bikes cost a lot of cash. It's a bargain for under a grand as it is.
J Trials 31
Also, I'm sure it would be no prob for Tarty to upgrade your brakes right? Bike looks awesome! And agree, price is pretty good.
Revolver
"Based heavily around the popular RockMan Manus frame, the RockMan Austin frame is used as the basis for RockMan's first entry into the 20" market." What does this mean? Rockman have made mods before.
