moose
I'm currently running 18 14 on my echo trial just wondering if anyone uses 18 15 and what are view on it?
Mikee
24" yeah? It will be too light. 18:15 is what most people use on 26" bikes. 18:14 is about right on the money for trialsy 24" bikes. Are you finding 18:14 to heavy? Laurence--Trials
I'm using a 18:15 on my because trial (which is standard) and its too light, i'd much rarther 18:14, keep your ratio its a good one! Also if you used a 18:15 it would mess up where your brake pads hit the rim, hence why i havn't moved to 18:14 Edited November 26, 2011 by Laurence--Trials
Matt Vandart
Depends what the crank length is too.
Laurence--Trials
Thats true, i'm running 175 cranks and my gearing feels too light. Had a go on an echo with 18:14 felt really nice, not sure what crank length was though, will find out if its any help.
moose
To be honest it feels maybe too light might be my freewheel going, I was thinking the 15 would be bad for pads
