Azarathal
Going to be ordering a trialtech hose splitter for my Echo TR 2011 brake. I know I'll need 3x standard barbs but what about the blanking bolt? Also, do people just re-use the cross over? E.g cutting it it half? Is it bled any differently? (bath bleed) Cheers guys. SamKidney
Regarding bleeding, a mate of mine found that to get the best bath bleed, he would bleed to brake with one bleed screw still in one slave until no air came out, screw the open port in again, and then bleed through again with the other slave open. Just removes the air from the two seperate lines to each slave. I hope this makes sense

Mark W
Going to be ordering a trialtech hose splitter for my Echo TR 2011 brake. I re-used my cross-over for one side. You can't really split it in half 'cos your splitter would be in a pretty random place. Depending on your cylinders, you might need to use a shroud nut and olive for one hose going to your splitter. Reason for that is that M8 blanking bolts are pretty hard to come by, so if you've got M8/M6 cylinders you'll need to use the M6 hole as your blanking one. I had one M8/M6 and one M6/M6, so just shroud/olive on one hose and used my old cross-over for the other. For the blanking bolt itself, you can either use the standard Magura ones or alternatively use something like the Pro-Bolt alloy ones to get some colour/save some weight. EDIT: If I wasn't a dick I'd have realised you said you've got a TR, so M6/M6 both sides = you're a winner. Barbed fittings for all!
Azarathal
Thanks mark! I'll be ordering some hose along with the splitter and fittings. I know you're off work today but I'll ask anyway (I'll forget by monday). Would you guys charge anything to pre assemble the two split hoses? E.g fit the barbs for me? Mark W
Maybe a couple of £? We do for cross-overs, and this is essentially the same kinda thing.
Azarathal
Cheers for everyone that replied. I'll be ordering myself one soon then.
Mark W
Before you go ahead with anything, it might be worth double checking where it'd be best to actually have the splitter. You should be able to get it to sit out of the way under your top tube just in front of the seat tube, then you can have the separate hoses go out from there along the seat stays where they'll be a bit less vulnerable. If you measure that distance you'll be able to get the ideal length for them.
ezgonzo
as mark said around the seat tube is the way to go, it does look alot neater and keep's the hose's out of the way, however it can be a little tricky getting the length just right to allow for ajustment of the slaves but @ the same time not having the hose's too long that they start to bow out from the seatstay's, here's a pic of how i fitted one on my bike. Azarathal
Going with the splitter simply because every hydraulic rim brake I've owned has had slightly more response / travel from the bleed slave and it annoys me. Most probably human error but meh,
