bike_dummie Posted November 17, 2011 Report Share Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) hi, going to build a wheel up for Christmas and have a few questions. 1.Is it possible to have a radial build (non-disc) on the right and 3x on the left(disc side)? 2.where can I buy quality Ti spokes? 3.what length will I need to purchase the Ti spokes if I use this hub and this rim on the non disc side built radial? 4.what is the thread size for the echo tr axle? 5. As said, don't bother with ti spokes, get some Sapin double butted instead. The echo TR axle is an M6 thread. I will scrap the idea of Ti spokes and stick with steel . Been thinking about doing some cut outs on the flanges sorta like the rockman disc/echo sl, what are your views on this, will it considerably weaken the disc flange? Either way I wouldn't bother, you'll save ~5g, is 5g really going to help with your riding? there would be a risk of the hub failing, it depends how well you do it.
