Echo have been working on getting the geometry more suited to people of normal height rather than dwarfs. I think they must have received complaints from dealers about the stem/frame combination because new Echo's come with a 170+ stem. Which is all the more surprising when you notice that the Lynx apparently comes with a 150mm stem As for bars they are almost certainly the same geometry as old SL's.
