dan8819
im really interested in getting into trials. Thing is ive never done it before and i really like the look of the 26" bikes, prefer them to the 20",but, ive seen a few people on different sites say for beginners to get 20" bikes as there a lot easier to learn on,i dont want to learn on a 20" though,i want a 26"! lol so what im trying to say is,is it a good idea for me to just go ahead and get a 26" bike or should i really just be looking at the 20s. Dave Anscombe
hey man welcome to the trials forum.... Really what i say is if you come from a bmxish background go for the 20" you you ride normal mountainbikes and such go for a 26" If your fairly small and weak 20 inch bikes are alot easier to throw around and stuff.... Its down to what you really fancy going for. Its not like mods (20" bikes) are for beginers and stock(26" bikes) are for a higher standard. Hope this makes sence/helps Dave
dan8819
cheers mate, think im just going to go with a 26". now wether to build or buy complete. i havnt got a massive budget as im paying out a lot at the mo, and there doesnt seem to be many cheap bikes about, and the ones that are, arent what im looking for. But ive seen a few cheapish frames and loads of cheap parts, every part id need to build one infact, but its knowing what goes best with what, like what rear single speed sprocket is best to use with a front freewheel, and how many teeth on each? does any crank go on any bb?and does any bb fit in any frame?any headset fit in any frame? etc etc lol! sorry for all the questions and that mate just would want to do it properly, dont want to start buying random parts if there not going to fit together!
