Carlperkins
ok so i have a 2011 24" echo lite and im running a 4-bolt echo booster on the back, when i pull the brake i can see the booster and frame physically flexing. is this because echo boosters are shit? or is this normal? cheers in advance for any help. Pete.M
Same with mine, i'm guessing it's partly because of the offset between the booster and the frame's brake mounts. If the booster could be fitted right against the frame then surely the flex would decrease to some extent. It must be hard to design a lightweight booster that has zero flex, unless exotic materials were involved.
Carlperkins
im totally fine with running a cast iron one if it makes my brake as possible lol. im thinking i may have to invest in a more heavy duty booster.
ezgonzo
i had an echo 4 bolt booster on my old zhi z3 and to be honest i found that it did'nt really do that good of a job, it reduced a little bit of flex but not a great deal. i'm now running a trialtech 4 bolt booster on my inspired and it's solid, little to no flex that i can see, before i fitted the booster the seat stays flexed quite a lot and the brake felt quite spongy but now she's pucker , the only down side is the price. a slightly cheaper option would be a tensile booster, there probably one of the stiffest booster's around, there not the best looking imo or the lightest but they do work well, my bro run's one on his echo 24 and it's solid. hope that helps ez. dann2707
Thats strange, I ran a 2 bolt echo team booster on my Comp 2010 and it was silly epic. No flex what so ever.
AlexxRogers
Thats strange, I ran a 2 bolt echo team booster on my Comp 2010 and it was silly epic. No flex what so ever. Team boosters weren't drilled, the 4bolt control ones were.
