err
you can space out the cage on your mech using washers either side of the jockey wheels, you'll probably need longer bolts too though
Mark W
The KMC Z610HX is pretty much the best chain you can get.

Jamie_Trials
KHE were the best, but I'd say going for a Trialtech Kool is your best bet, or the KMC Z610HX if you're a light rider. EDIT: Seems the 3/32" Trialtechs have been discontinued Edited November 5, 2011 by Jamie_Trials
Dave Anscombe
i need a new chain one thats strong and wont stretch any sugestions as mine is really saggy now and i cannot adjust it at all Edited November 5, 2011 by Dave Anscombe
monkeyseemonkeydo
i need a new chain The KMC Z610HX is pretty much the best chain you can get. With regards the OP, there's no reason to go to a 1/8 chain if your drivetrain is set up for 3/32. The strength is the same and you'd just be adding unnecessary weight. Dave Anscombe
they aslo say sp...stretch proof my arse my ones as saggy as grandmas boobies
monkeyseemonkeydo
they aslo say sp...stretch proof my arse 'SP' Stretch Proof design helps prevent stretch in the plates, a common cause of breaking. This also means less frequent adjustment is necessary when the chain is new It's impossible to have a truly stretch proof chain, unless you run something so heavy it would be silly. The Z610HX just means that it won't stretch like a bitch when new and over the life of the chain will, in theory, stretch less. Good chains though, I must say. monkeyseemonkeydo
Why does it matter? You need a new chain so order one. A Z610HX if you're smart.

Luke Rainbird
Then remember what you bought or check on Tarty rather than asking a load of people who have approximately f**k all to do with what chain you bought? Looks like your tolerance of blunt answers to stupid questions is about as high as mine of stupid, ignorant people.
Mark W
Tank chains best Yeah, they work absolutely perfectly with all chain tensioners too. KHE were the best, but I'd say going for a Trialtech Kool is your best bet, or the KMC Z610HX if you're a light rider. EDIT: Seems the 3/32" Trialtechs have been discontinued You don't have to be a 'light rider' to use the 610. I know of plenty of people who put a shitload of power down who've had no problems with them. If you let it get super old then no doubt it'll break, but if you can join a chain properly and replace it semi frequently then it should be fine. The Kool has a slightly higher breaking load, but that doesn't mean anything after you've had it for a week and it's stretched significantly more than the Z610HX (or 510HX if you particularly want a 1/8" chain). As soon as it's stretched then the strength goes down, and the fact is is that the Z510HX and Z610HX chains stretch a lot less and therefore lose less of their original strength. durrrrrrrrr f**king idiot i know this! but how the f**k do i know what one i got all the silly letters and numbers aint on the f**king chain By looking at pictures. If it looks like this, it's a Kool. If it doesn't, it's probably a Z610HX.

mr.tattoo
thanks for coments guys silly question but that kool chain pictured above is a slightly diff shape on top will it still go round a rear mech ok as im using one as derailer? sum chains are flat or diff shape on top side i presume for signle speed use only not sure if they will bend round the mech wheels other way? cheers
Mark W
I've seen people use them upside down so it shouldn't really be a problem. The fact it's only really available in 1/8" width from most places now might be more of an issue though as you're going to have to space out your setup to get it to clear. A 3/32" chain would be a better bet.
