Laurence--Trials
So i've been shown spoke calculators before and i fail at them before anyone mentions that :$ I'm currently running duel standard onza zoot wheels and i want to make the following changes. Front wheel: Rim: Onza zoot Spokes: standard black Nips: standard onza zoot green Hub: Onza non-disc open green (onza zoot standard.) Cross: Two cross. which i want to change to: Rim: Onza zoot Spokes: If i can, keep the same, chances are i wont be able to though Nips: Standard onza zoot green Hub: Trial tech race sealed disc hub. Cross: Dont mind, would like no cross if it means i can use the same spokes Rear wheel: Rim: Onza Zoot standard Spokes: Onza zoot standard black Nips: Standard onza zoot green Hub: Onza sealed green non-disc hub. Cross: Two cross Which i want to change to: Rim: V!Z Single wall 24" Spokes: Onza zoot standard black if possible. Nips: Standard Onza zoot green Hub: Onza sealed green non-disc hub. Cross: Dont mind atall. Chances are i'll have to change the spokes in the front wheel but if i can i want to avoid changing them on the rear. Any help will be appreciated. Azarathal
Planning on going disc or maggy? From what I've seen V!Z rims are shite for grinds.
Mark W
It isn't anything like the 19" or 26" older style Viz rims in that it's basically just a 24" Try-All rim.
Laurence--Trials
Planning on going disc or maggy? From what I've seen V!Z rims are shite for grinds. I already knew that, thanks anyway though I'm going maggie with smooth rim It isn't anything like the 19" or 26" older style Viz rims in that it's basically just a 24" Try-All rim. Any help on the spoke situation mark? I was hoping a tart would reply. So its pretty similar to the try-all HOLE rim?
Mark W
I'm currently sitting in Ali's house rather than our office as it's 20 past 6 on a Sunday evening, so it's a little difficult to access our spoke calculator.

Laurence--Trials
To tartybikes: (when your next working, ifff you can) could you find the width of the holes in the V!Z rim so i can choose some rim tape for it? I've been a little pest to you guys recently :$ EDIT: I assume 38mm width would be enough? Revolver
The great thing about sellotape is that it comes in quite long rolls so if there are gaps you can just do another few layers.

Then you get shit sticking to the side facing out of the holes Get something like an old pillowcase / clothing etc, cut strips out and wrap tape around it? That way you get awesome looking tape without shit sticking to it. Or buy proper rimtape...

Luke Rainbird
Then you get shit sticking to the side facing out of the holes The beauty of using more than one layer is that you put the sticky sides together so all outward faces are non-adhesive Edit; What he said.
