TrialsIsHard
Heard nothing bad about the HTC evo 3D, although I'm not sure how good the 3D features are. http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/buy/HTC-EVO-3D-V4G36-FCON Quite an informative review here too http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/15/htc-evo-3d-review/ No I don't work for HTC, but it looks pretty cool

AdamR28
I've got a 'standard' Sensation, really like it.
ManxTrialSpaz
I'm with Adam, got a Sensation at the start of the month. Hasn't blinked or coughed yet, which is a pretty good track record for an Android / smart phone. Coupled with a decent camera and screen, it's a powerful bit of kit. I'd suggest it to be more than enough for the average user. Edited October 24, 2011 by ManxTrialSpaz
Luke Dunstan
Have you considered Windows 7 phones? I had a HTC HD7 and to be honest I preferred it to my iphone. Either way, HTC phones are really nice.
konstant
I was torn between the original Sensation and the Galaxy S2. The Sensation is the better built of the two and the XE looks pretty but the screen on the S2 is just so much better. Samsung's Android customisations aren't as extreme and the UI feels more fluid than Sense. The camera on the S2 is also a LOT better for stills and video. The Sensation chugs through HD, missing frames here and there. Samsung QC is dire, however. Don't be surprised if you have to return one or two phones before you get a good one. I would try out an S2 if you haven't already.
ManxTrialSpaz
I'm here to chirp in that the Galaxy SII is a quality phone. It can feel a bit cheap with the plastic body - although maybe that will make a bit less paranoid about breaking it? - The plastic body on the Galaxy S felt a lot safer / less fragile than the Desire HD did to me, although the Desire HD felt like it meant business in my hand. But when you're using something like the SII, the feel should immediately be forgotten, since the real beauty is in using it - Samsung have done a very good job there, making a very smooth feeling phone. In honesty, the only thing that made me take a Sensation over an SII was the size of the Samsung (and the fact it comes with Swype pre installed). I was looking for a smaller phone, as I feel less prone to breaking the thing on nights out etc, although I think I prefer using something the size of the HD. Food for thought.
