Angle Grinder Recommendations

Plus I'd say that grinding your rim would be more painful to the rim than the penis... Ultimately the penis - if you were inclined to bend it round into your own arsehole - would probably feel no difference post rim grind.

Basically it was a shit joke. When I say shit I mean nothing to do with faecal matter, I mean it was appalling at it's given purpose of being funny.

Youve never heard of the rim of the penis. You sir need to brush up on your phallic vocabulary!

Without labouring the point, if you made a poll of what part of your anatomy people think of when you say 'rim' then anus would beat penis hands down. Whether or not the phallus has a rim or not is besides the point - when a girl says they're going to have their nails done you don't automatically think they mean the ones on their toes, despite them generally existing.

I'll add another vote for Makita. They always come out on top when this is asked on RetroRides (and some serious metal work goes on there). I'm also pretty friendly with a local automotive composites firm, and they swear by them. They wont spend proper money on grinders, because when your filling then with carbon fiber dust 6 days a week, anything breaks pretty quick, and out of the ones for that 'disposable' price range they've tried, the Makitas seem to last by far the longest. They're also noticeably smoother than really cheep ones, which is a big deal if you're using it a lot, as your arms get noticeably less tired, and the heads nice and small, so you can make the most of your discs, cheep ones normally have massive heads, so you struggle to use the last part of the disc, or get in small spaces.

That said, I've got a Bosch one that I bought because it was all that was available locally on the day (bloody small towns) I think it was about £35 from Focus, and it's actually been really good, as smooth as a makita, and the heads not noticably bigger, but they don't have as good reputation. Bosch do have a good warranty though, I burned out the speed controller on one of their fairly cheep drills (drilling many, many 9mm holes in 5mm steel plate) and they replaced it no hassle, and they gave us a free decent set of drill bits to apologise.

So yeah, my money would go on a Bosch or Makita.

Edit: just as a side-note, I'd much rather buy two £40 grinders than one £80 one, one for cutting, one for grinding, saves so much hassle, and the extra lifespan you'll get from an £80 one wont be twice that of a £40 one.

Thats what i do, one for cutting, one for grinding/flap discs and one for wire brushing. I hope to get another as a dedicated flap disc machine :)
