krazykid009
Hey guys, Just got my hands on a Hope XC and the ratchet is comepletely FUBAR'd. Got in touch with Hope and they said it is probably not something they could remove as the lack of teeth mean the tool won't grip. Anyone got any ideas as to how to remove the bugger? Have a spare ratchet ring sat next to me now in perfect condition and I want to get it in so I can finally get my DH rig up and running. Many thanks James
Miles Mallinson
You could get a small file and sharpen the engagements that may work then go at it with a screwdriver.
JD™
Pics would probably help for people more knowledgable than myself, and I say that because I know you have them
krazykid009
You could get a small file and sharpen the engagements that may work then go at it with a screwdriver. The teeth are well and truly beyond that unfortunately. Pics would probably help for people more knowledgable than myself, and I say that because I know you have them I'll get them up now JD James

krazykid009
Do you reckon tacking a small bar onto the inside and opposite edge of the ratchet ring, and then using that to twist it off would work? James
Revolver
Cut a slot in it with a dremel, bring it out in pieces.
