murph82
Right. Currently have some ordinary hope monos to put on my new 24. I also have some blinding old avid arch rival v brakes that i reckon would be pretty awesome with some trials pads in them. If i run v's on the 24 i can run some new tv series wheels with a freewheel but they are non disc wheels....the monos on my freeride bike.......not wanting people to decide for me but i've pretty much always run maguras on the back and discs on front, how has anyone found v's on either end? Cheers Changing topic, are the onza 32mm 'front' rims (reggie or ronnie?) Man enough to be used on the rear. Need a cheap and this seems to fit the bill? jambo
There is many many folk who will swear by v brakes ( enter Ali c) I run one on the front of my comp bike and wouldn't change it for the world. I ran one on my Curtis with an xtr booster on the rear and it was nothing short of amazing. I would imagine you will get more power out of a v than you would ever get from a standard hope mono. But depends what sort of riding you like if you want to do lots of rolling moves a disc up front will be mega! V on the rear disc on the front? Matt Vandart
I concur but don't put a grind on the wheel if you want any chance of manualing anything. Double vee is epic win for natty.

Greetings
Any suggestions for v pads guys? Wild guess here but from my very limited experience of brake pads, the Inspired (Spanish fly?) compound seems rather good on smooth rims. jambo
Always been a fan of heatsink yellows on smooth rims! I heard death grip is where it's at for manuals these days anyway.
Le @ Tnn Engineering
I've been playing with Vee's front and rear on my comp bike for a while now. It's a fantastic combination LGM for all out power Belaey's for a little more modulation.
