Ben Swales
Nice Carl, me likey! You're looking good on the Inspired. I get what people are saying about th slow-mo, but I also get what you guys were trying to do with this vid and I think it works. I was just starting to really enjoy riding my brakelss 24 as a bit of 'cross training' (read: a bit of fun and a break from my usual bike ) when I broke my ankle, looking forward to getting back on both bikes SO much already! Are you riding Shipley on Sunday? I'll be there for a bit at least, hobbling around at the top in my neon pink cast! I know what you mean about kick hop 180s, I still find it easier to do that goofy too Ali, as a relative newbie to 'proper' street riding, can you explain the difference between goofy/regular to me please? I assume it's to do with which way you spin relative to your lead foot, but it looks like Carl spins both ways in this video, so I'm not sure. I'm right foot forward and spin anti-clockwise (to the left), is that regular, or goofy? Edited October 19, 2011 by Ben Swales
Luke Rainbird
Regular being spinning away from your lead foot, like you do. Goofy being the other way, because it looks a little more, well, goofy When you're doing it with a kick it's generally a little easier to go goofy for some weird reason, but rolling (without a kick) regular spins look a bit cleaner
Ali C
to spin goofy would be to spin towards your leading foot. I am right foot forward so if I span to my right it would be goofy. Trials tends to give some really bad habits if you ever swap to bmx or street, it's very common to see people spin goof, tuck to the "wrong" side when hopping (I have had to re-learn bunnyhops with tucks to the other side). It's also very common to see people relying on pedal jabs to get spins rather than actually hopping. Not saying Carl does all of those and even if he did, it's not the end of the world if he carried on doing it.

Cheers guys I'm guilty of the pedal jabs - gaining confidence to do them without, but as I said, I'm off the bike for a while now, so will have to start again at the beginning when I get back on it I imagine I seem to have the direction (spinning and tucking) OK though, it just seems to feel natural to me. Mark W
Just the feeling of getting manny 180s without a kick is reason enough to learn them 'properly'. You won't regret it! Cool video too
Miles Mallinson
Nice one Carl, riding was very good. I have resisited the temptation to take my brakes off again until now so thats your fault. Also what gear ratio are you running? Cap
Great vid Carl, you seem to be getting on well with that bike to say you have not had it so long. Well shot, good editing and some beasty riding
CalopS
Nice Carl, me likey! Are you riding Shipley on Sunday? I'll be there for a bit at least, hobbling around at the top in my neon pink cast! Cheers dude. I had a light ride tonight and my back felt ok but I don't want to risk riding the comp and falling on a bike I haven't ridden since getting my Inspired so I'll prob just come up to watch and help you round the course =p I'm going to do my best to make the last Tyke Trial though. p.s. brakeless section wanted Nice one Carl, riding was very good. I have resisited the temptation to take my brakes off again until now so thats your fault. Also what gear ratio are you running? Thanks! I'm glad to hear it was my fault I'm running 13/18 but I'm thinking of trying something harder for a bit more speed as its super trialsy at the moment. I don't feel a 12 or 11 cog would hinder my trials stuff too much.
